Permanent Full Time Traditional Instrument & Keyboard Sales Advisor

Arcade Store (37.5 hours)

We are looking for a highly motivated sales person to join our busy Arcade store selling pianos, keyboards and other traditional instruments.  This is very clearly a sales position, so whilst a level of playing ability is important, the flare for talking to customers, providing them with excellent information and then selling the right instrument to match their requirements is the key to being successful.


Key aspects of the job will include:

  • Demonstrating and selling pianos, keyboards, classical and folk instruments.
  • Achieving monthly sales targets.
  • Delivering the optimum level of customer service, whether face to face or over the telephone.
  • Using the telephone pro-actively to increase the level of sales.
  • Ensuring the department is properly merchandised and ready for business.
  • Completing all the necessary administration associated with pre and post sales activity.

 

Therefore the required attributes to be successful include:

  • To be able to play the piano or keyboard and ideally other musical instruments - woodwind and/or bowed string instrument – to a good standard (probably to around grade 5 or equivalent standard)
  • To be confident, positive and pro-active in attitude at all times.
  • To have had previous sales experience.
  • To be very comfortable using the telephone.
  • To be proficient using computers (ideally with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access)
  • To be a highly motivated individual, able to work on his or her own, and also as part of a team.
  • To be a confident, positive, enthusiastic and outgoing at all times.
  • To be a clear communicator and to have clarity of expression whether dealing with members of the public or members of Windows’ staff.
  • Available to work 5 days a week (including most Saturdays)

  • Playing other instruments would be an added benefit.
  • To be confident, positive and pro-active in attitude at all times.

  • To be proficient using computers (ideally with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access)
  • To be a highly motivated individual, able to work on his or her own, and also as part of a team.
  • To be a confident, positive, enthusiastic and outgoing at all times.
  • To be a clear communicator and to have clarity of expression whether dealing with members of the public or members of Windows’ staff.
  • To be available to work 5 days a week on a flexible rota system including some evenings and usually a Saturday.
