Jo recalls that her most exciting period with Windows was helping out with the opening of our Darlington shop in 2011, so she is now delighted to be Darlington store manager!

Profile Picture

Richard Coxon

Richard joined JG Windows in the Summer of 2011. He has been a staple of the Darlington musical community since joining the industry in 2005 as a fresh faced forty-something! But his first love has always been music and musicians so when the chance came to join this brilliant industry, it was too good to miss!

Richard’s specialist field is all things guitar, especially bass guitar. Give him a chance and he will bore you to death with stories of all the many, many basses and amps he has owned over the years! He also has a great knowledge of PA systems as a veteran of nearly 2000 gigs.  Although, to be honest, he has been here so long he is the font of all knowledge on pretty much anything related to musical equipment. So why not visit the store and try to catch him out!

Behind the Scenes

Profile Picture

Rupert Bradbury

- Managing Director

Rupert has been the MD of JG Windows since 2006 when the company was bought from the Windows family. With his main instrument being piano, his first connection with the shop was back in the early 90s whilst playing in a student band. Having bought various keyboards from the shop, he then took what was meant to be a short term job selling pianos in the Arcade, which actually turned into 4 very enjoyable years, before then spending 10 years working for Roland in various roles. The pull of the North-East was too strong though and with the opportunity to become involved in one of the most famous music shops in the North, he returned in 2006.

He loves nothing more than spending time on the shop floor with our team of people, talking to customers and getting stuck into what it's really all about.  Unfortunately he does find himself confined to his desk more than he'd really like, but at least since our expansion in 2015 it does now have a great view over Grainger street!
